Our last virtual AHC Knowledge Sharing on “Hydroinformatics Center (HIC) Development” is taking place on 24th October 2023 at 14:00 – 17:00 hrs. (GMT +8) or 13:00 – 16:00 hrs. (GMT +7), aiming to share the existing tools and technologies of Hydroinformatics from each country for water management, flood risk warning, and climate risk reduction management, including to promote the networking of relevant partners among ASEAN.
The workshop includes 4 knowledge sharing sessions:
- Prof. Law Wing Keung, Adrian (Nanyang Technological University, NTU) on the topic “Visions for ASEAN Hydroinformatics Data Center (HIC) Development”
- Dr. Royboon Rassameethes (Hydro – Informatics Institute, Thailand) on the topic “Development of Thailand Hydroinformatics Data Center”
- Prof. Khin Ni Ni Thein (Myanmar Water Academy, Myanmar) on the topic “The new face of Hydroinformatics in Agriculture Sector Quality Education”
- Mr. Luong Tuan Trung (Vietnam Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology and Climate Change, IMHEN) on the topic “Flood Risk Warning and Management System for main river basins in Vietnam”
This is the last out of 5 knowledge sharing activities according to 5 AHC Thematic Areas (TA1: HIC Development, TA2: Big Data and Data Analytics, TA3: Observation Technology, TA4: Modeling, and TA5: Sustainable Water Management) which will be organized every quarter from 2022 to 2023.
