Following our success on the first workshop, we are pleased to announce our second virtual AHC Knowledge Sharing Workshop on “Flood Modelling”. The workshop is taking place on 5th July 2022, at 14:00 – 17:00 (GMT+8) or 13:00 – 16:00 (GMT+7), aiming to promote awareness on the use of advanced tools to solve community flood issues.
The workshop involves 4 Knowledge Sharing sessions:
- Dr. Apip (Research Center of Limnology and Water Resources, Indonesia) on the topic “Seasonal Flood Modelling in Large Tropical River Basins Considering Global Climate Change Impact”
- Dr. Thi Thuy Ngo (Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology and Climate Change, Vietnam) on the topic “Simulation-Optimization Methods toward Sustainable Urban Drainage System”
- Mr. Apimook Mooktaree (Hydro – Informatics Institute (HII), Thailand) on the topic “Improving the Efficiency of Flash Flood Forecasting and Warning System in Thailand Using Dynamic AMC”
- Dr. Thi Thu Ha Doan (Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology and Climate Change, Vietnam) on the topic “Dam Impacts in Transboundary Regions, Case Study in the Imjin River Basin, Korea”
This is the second out of 5 knowledge sharing activities according to 5 AHC Thematic Areas (TA1: HIC Development, TA2: Big Data and Data Analytics [Completed], TA3: Observation Technology, TA4: Modelling, and TA5: Sustainable Water Management) which will be organized every quarter from 2022 to 2023.
Please stay tuned!
