The Seventh Meeting of the ASEAN Hydroinformatics Data Centre (AHC) was organized on 1 March 2024 virtually through Zoom and hosted by the AHC Chairman, Prof. Law Wing-Keung, Adrian from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the AHC Secretariat from Singapore.
The meeting was attended by delegates from the 10 member states, including Brunei Darussalam, the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Republic of Indonesia, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (PDR), Malaysia, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Republic of the Philippines, the Republic of Singapore, the Kingdom of Thailand and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
AHC Secretariat warmly welcomed the participants to the meeting. The AHC Chairman summarized the highlighted achievements during Chairmanship in 2022-2023 such as AHC Activities and Achievement, Collaboration in other ASEAN activities and beyond ASEAN, and AHC Vision and Mission from 2024 onwards.
In addition, AHC Secretariat announced the new AHC Chairman for 2024-2025, Assoc. Prof. Pham Thi Thanh Nga, from the Vietnam Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology and Climate Change (IMHEN), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE), Vietnam. The new chairman introduced herself and extended greetings to all participants.
